Year 5 Rivers Trip

Today, Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic school trip to Ingraham, where they had the opportunity to explore the outdoors and put their learning into practice!

During half of the day, the children became river explorers, investigating the river and searching for different species that might be living in and around the water. Using fishing nets and magnifying glasses, they carefully collected and examined their findings. The children were fascinated by the variety of wildlife they discovered!

During the other half of the day, the children took on the challenge of climbing a large hill, taking in the beautiful landscapes and views around them as they made their way to the top. Once they reached the summit, they used the landscape in front of them as inspiration to create their own landscape sketches, carefully observing the shapes, colours and features of the scenery.
